BRINK: Trudy (Gertrude). “The Lord took our mother to be with Himself” on Friday April 1, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Trudy was born in Holland on May 2, 1932, daughter of the late Jacobus & Geertruida Koopman. Beloved wife of the late George (Geert) Brink (1963). Loving and devoted mother of 6 sons: John of Burlington; Jim & Corry of Thamesville; Stuart & Debbie of Chatham; George & Rita of Chatham; Tom & Carlene of Abbotsford, BC; and Ed & Margaret of Vineland. Cherished grandmother of 19: Tanya & Gerard, Jim, Melissa, Kristel, Nicole, Amberly & Pete, Ashley, Brittany, Zackary, Michael & Leslie, Christina & Justin, Jodi & Simon, Joshua & Kayla, Adam, Katie, Nathan, Brandon, Rebeccah, and Sarah. Fondly remembered by 14 great grandchildren and predeceased by great granddaughter Denver Brink. Dear sister of Tom & Grace Koopman of St. Thomas, Mabel & John Roffel of Chatham, Meindert & Attie Koopman of St. Thomas, Marchien & Harry Zuidema of Wallaceburg, Grace & John Pennings of Mitchell, and the late Wiecher Koopman, John Koopman, and Pearl Greevink. Also survived by her sister-in-law Ge Koopman of Grimsby, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. All are welcome for the interment service at Bothwell Cemetery on Monday at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at the Free Reformed Church, Gregory Drive East, Chatham on Monday April 4, 2011 at 12:00 Noon.
