Obituary of Caleb Smith

SMITH: Caleb Joshua. Suddenly on Thursday, March 24, 2011, Caleb Joshua Smith passed away in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 19. Beloved son of James and Priscilla (Kember) Smith. Dear brother of Jeremy Smith and Amanda Yablonsky of Sarnia, Jason Flynn and his wife Rachelle of Belle River, Reuben Smith and his wife Juliane of Mississauga, and Nathan Smith of Hamilton. Uncle of Alicia Yablonsky, Kayla and Kara Flynn. Dear grandson of Don and Rowena Smith of Chatham, and Anne Kember of Sarnia and the late Shadrach Kember. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Caleb attended the University of Alberta where he was working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. Caleb attended the Gospel Hall in Chatham & Edmonton. He worked with and was mentored by Dr. Chris and Michelle Anjema. He also volunteered with Aravind Eye Institute in Madurai, India. Caleb will be dearly missed by his co-workers and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at St. Paul's Congregational Church, 450 Park Avenue West. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at St. Paul's Congregational Church. Interment in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Dover Township. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Caleb Smith Scholarship Fund made payable to "James D. & Priscilla Smith in Trust" would be appreciated.
