Obituary of Stevenson Turnbull Emans

Emans, Stevenson Turnbull, a resident of Chatham. Steve Emans died Sunday January 23, 2011 at Riverview Gardens, Chatham at the age of 86. Born in Chatham, son of the late William & Catherine (McFadjen) Emans. Beloved husband of Barbara June (Moore) Emans of Chatham. Dear father of Stephanie & Carl Pirscher, Erieau. Brother of William & Betty Emans, Chatham and the late Donald (Scotty) Emans and Myles Emans. Also survived by sister-in-laws Ilene Emans, Muriel Moote and several nieces and nephews. Steve Emans was a former manager of Sunnen Products; former Chairman of the Chatham Industrial Commission and Past President of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce, the Chatham Rotary Club; the Maple City Golf Club; Past Commodore of the Erieau Yacht Club; a J.C. Senator; and a member and Past Chairman of the Board of Stewards of Sprucedale United Church. Mr. Emans was a Veteren of World War II having served with the RCAF as a flying officer and Navigator. The Emans Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Friday January 28, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Pat Milliken officiating. Cremation with a Private Family Interment at a later date. Donations in memory of Steve Emans to Sprucedale United Church, The Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Charity of Choice would be appreciated.
