VANDERBAAN: Stu – A resident of Chatham, Stu vanderBaan passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the age of 67. Born in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, Stu was the son of the late Jacobus and Annie vanderBaan. Beloved husband of Joyce vanderBaan. Dearly missed by his daughter Elise (Ted) Hoekstra and their children Shayla and Brody of Chatham; his late son Seth Dekker (2007), and Seth’s son Ethan of Chatham; his son David (Helen) vanderBaan and their daughters Chelsea and Emily of Wallaceburg; and his daughter Karen (Scott) Millard and their sons Brock and Colin of Wallaceburg. Stu is survived by his sister Mary (Gerry) Verrips of Dundas, his brother John (Anita) vanderBaan of New York, his sister Liz (John) Kloetstra of Dundas and his twin brother Pete (Maria) vanderBaan of Rutherford. Predeceased by his sisters Pearl Coleman and Tina Visser. Also missed by several nieces and nephews as well as the VanderEnde and Dekker families. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 25 Tweedsmuir Ave E, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011 with Rev. Jack Kerkhof officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Rehabilitation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
