PEPPER: Bertha May. A resident of South Buxton and formerly of Chatham, Bertha Pepper passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the age of 87. Born in Harwich Township, daughter of the late Howard and Florence (Wooding) Mardling. Beloved wife of the late Martin Pepper (2000). Dear mother of Ivan Pepper and his wife Maureen of Erieau, Shirley Boersma and her fiancé Warren Boucher of Tilbury, and Glenda Kalp and her husband Herman of South Buxton. Grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 13. Sister of John (Jack) Mardling and his wife Iva of R.R.#4 Chatham, and the late Glenn (Blanche) Mardling, and June (Norman) Couture. Sister-in-law of Pauline Pepper of Chatham, and Mary Pepper of Chatham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev.
