Obituary of Dawn Sanders

Sanders: Dawn (nee McPhail), A resident of Chatham, Dawn Sanders passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus at the age of 79. Born in Dresden, Dawn was the daughter of the late Hugh and Haroldine (nee Irwin) McPhail. Loving wife of the late Fred Sanders (2000). Dear mother of Lee (Ann) Hodgson and her husband Tom of Thamesville. Dear sister to Steve McPhail and his wife Darla of Indiana. Sister-in-law to Mary and Robert Garrod of Florida Predeceased by her sister Twyla Bishop and her late husband Gord; sister-in-law Barbara Manniger and her late husband George. Niece of Jeanne Ellis. Dawn will also be dearly missed by all the members of the Dreise family as well as many nieces and nephews. Dawn was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Kendall Street Sunday School for over 25 years. Dawn had a passion for books. To honour her, please purchase, donate or share a book with others. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Jamie Tiffin officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to honour Dawn’s life can be made to the O.S.P.C.A., the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
