CLARKE: Elzena W (Burlock) A resident of Chatham, Elzena Clarke passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010, at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 91. Born in Bannon, New Brunswick to the late Wallace & Lena (Tompkins) Burlock. Beloved wife of the late Paul P. Clarke (2001). Loving mother of Peter & Judy Clarke of Chatham, Edward & Dianne Clarke of Chatham, and Lorne & Carol Clarke of St. Thomas. Proud grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 15, and predeceased by 1 great grandchild. Dear sister of Wendell Burlock of New Brunswick. She is remembered by her sisters in-law Marjorie Burlock and Madeline Burlock. Predeceased by her brothers Hazen, George, and Elbrige Burlock, and her sisters in-law Olive and Shirley Burlock. Elzena left her home in New Brunswick to settle in Chatham in 1951. She was a longtime member of Chatham Baptist Church where she was involved in the Chatham Baptist Ladies Aid and the Mission Circle. Please join Elzena’s family as they receive friends on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, with Pastor James Tiffin officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Elzena to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Chatham Baptist Church are welcomed and appreciated by family.
