Her creativity was much admired – she knitted beautiful items of clothing for herself and her nieces and nephews, and got much pleasure from hand sewing her one-of-a-kind hats and learning to upholster and refinish furniture. She travelled to Australia to visit her niece Margaret in her later years, and remained active throughout her long life, living alone until well after her 90th birthday. Many thanks to the staff at Windsor Place (Versa Care) on Dougall Ave., especially those on the 4th Floor, for her care over the past 12 years. Arrangements have been made by the McKinlay Funeral Home in Chatham ON. At Roxy’s request, there will be no funeral.
