WILSON: Gladys Evelyn. A resident of R.R.#1 Thamesville, Gladys Wilson passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Friday, December 3, 2010. Born in Zone Township, daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Cryderman) Jackson. Beloved wife of the late Walter A. Wilson (1985). Dear mother of Donald Wilson and Judy Waters of Wabash, and Kenneth Wilson and his wife Sandi of R.R.#1 Morpeth. Grandmother of Christopher Wilson of Brampton, Shawn Wilson and his wife Ellen of Dresden, Sheldon Wilson of Mississauga, Carissa Howe and her husband Gerry of Brampton, Nicole Wilson of Mississauga, Cassandra Corbeil of Brampton, and Kendra Wilson and Kyle Shiels of Brampton. Great-grandmother of Bryan, Erin, Kristopher, Walter, Jacobus, Colby, and Declan. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Wabash United Church. She was affectionately known as "The Puppet Lady" as she had knitted over 75,000 finger puppets that have been delivered to hospitals and missions around the world. Gladys and Walter had been very active with a number of area clubs through the years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Annalee Kerr officiating. Interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. Donations in Mrs. Wilson's honour to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
