Obituary of Eileen McGuigan

McGUIGAN: Eileen May Mannering. Peacefully, in Toronto, on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 87 years of age. Eileen will be sadly missed by her children Gillian Adamson, Hugh McGuigan and Sheila McGuigan, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Originally from Bracknell, Berkshire, England, Eileen was a member of the Eastern Star, and the Royal Canadian Legion for over 50 years. She met her husband, Nick while he was serving in the Canadian Army, married in 1945 and came to Canada in 1946. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, generosity and great roast beef dinners. Visitation at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St., Blenheim on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. An Eastern Star Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. and a Ladies Auxiliary Legion Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Bill Terris officiating. Interment in Craford Cemetery, Cedar Springs, Ontario. A reception will follow at the Legion in Blenheim.
