Obituary of Muriel Field

FIELD: Muriel E. (Marcia)- A resident of Chatham, Muriel Field passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 87. Born in Highgate, daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Edwards) Gosnell. Beloved wife of the late Harry Hunter (1964) and the late Harry Field (1986). Loving mother of Ron Hunter (Mary Jane) of Chatham, Lois Hunter-Quesnel (René) of Chatham and Brent Hunter(Nicole) of Chatham. Predeceased by her son Laurie Hunter (1945). Proud grandmother of Steven Hunter (Kwan) of San Francisco, Douglas Hunter (Pamela) of Chatham, Alfred Hunter of Squamish, B.C., Ryan Hunter of Vancouver, B.C., Chad Hunter (Sara) of London, Matthew Adomaitis of Toronto, Adam Wolfe of Vancouver, B.C., and Christopher Wolfe of Chatham. Great-grandmother of Rose and Eric Hunter, Salena , Mitchell , Kiera and Max Hunter. Muriel is survived by her brothers Max Gosnell (Jean) of Ridgetown and Ted Gosnell (Donna) of R.R. # 1 Highate. Also survived by her sister-in-law Leota (Keith) Lenover of Chatham. Predeceased by her brother Jack (Marion) Gosnell. Muriel was a member of the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario as well as a member of the United U.C.W. and her favourite bridge club. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Johanna Vander Spek officiating. Cremation to follow with a private interment in Evergreen Cemetery to take place at a later date.
