Obituary of Carlos A. Lopes

Lopes, Carlos Alberto, It is with profound sadness that the family of Carlos Lopes announces his sudden passing at Detroit Receiving Hospital on October 3, 2010 at the age of 36. Born in Chatham, loving son of Albino and Adelaide Lopes. Dear nephew of Fernando and Arminda Lopes, Maria & Herne Machado and Fernanda Evans, all of Chatham. Carlos will also be dearly missed by many cousins. Carlos’ memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His love of computers, playing the drums, fishing when he could and sometimes playing baseball are some of the memories they will share. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Carlos’ life will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Bill Fahrner officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Carlos’ life can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Zion Christian Church Building Fund and would be appreciated by the family.
