Verlinde: Rene, A resident of Muirkirk, Rene Verlinde passed away at the Four Counties Hospital on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the age of 78. Born in Dover Township son of the late Acheil and Elizabeth (nee Robut) Verlinde. Dear son-in-law of Laurentia Crow. Beloved husband of Mary Theresa (nee Crow) Verlinde. Loving father of, Larry Verlinde and his wife Vicki of Dover Centre, Janet Beamish and her husband David of Bothwell. Proud grandfather of Sara Verlinde of Sarnia, Shawn Verlinde of Dover Centre, Amanda and Kimberly Beamish both of Bothwell. Dear brother-in-law of Andrew Van Torre. Rene will also be dearly missed by his sisters–in-law Clara Watson, Evelyn Gore and her husband Leroy, Sharon Balfour and her husband Larry, as well as his brother-in-law Jack Crow and his wife André. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister’s Suzanne Driessens and Yvonne Van Torre, brothers-in-law Albert Driessen and Vern Watson. Rene farmed his entire life and it was an occupation he was truly proud of. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Father William Capitano officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to honour Rene’s life can be made to the Four Counties Health Services Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
