Obituary of Frank W. Sykes

Sykes: Frank William A resident of Blenheim, Frank W. Sykes passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday September 4, 2010 at the age of 96 years. Born in Lincolnshire, England, son of the late George and Sarah (Smith) Sykes. Beloved husband of the late Isabella Gray McCracken (2002). He is survived by a brother Jack Sykes and a sister Joyce Marshall both of England. He was predeceased by Percy, Jack, May, George and Henry Sykes. Also surviving in Canada are 2 nephews and 2 nieces, Wayne, Norman, Sharron and Wendy. Frank was a veteran of the British Army having served in the Royal Artillery in W.W. 2. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 185, Blenheim and a member of the Blenheim Anglican Church. He was passionate about the welfare of animals and was an active donor to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He was self employed for many years as an Industrial Carpenter. Friends may call at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday September 7, 2010 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
