Obituary of Carl Smith

Smith: Carl Wallis. A resident of Bothwell and formerly of Morpeth passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday August 26th, 2010 at the age of 43 years. Born in Chatham, son of Beverly (Smith) Fuller and her husband Ronald of Ridgetown and the late R. Douglas Smith (1989) Loved father of Julia Rae Smith. Dear brother of Robert J. Smith and his wife Beth of Courtanay B.C., Brian D. Smith and his wife Joy of Meaford Ontario, and Stuart R. Smith of Vancouver. Also surviving is his former wife Kathleen Wingrove Smith of Shrewsbury and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carl was employed by Comptank of Bothwell and was the lead singer of the band “Repertoire”. He was also a member of the Ridge Players. The Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service from the Funeral Home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Judith Fayter of Erie Street United Church, Ridgetown officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Morpeth Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Erie Street United Church or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 243 Ridgetown appreciated.
