Obituary of James 'Jim' Gray

GRAY: James (Jim) Richard A resident of Ridgetown, Jim Gray passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 79. Born in Hamilton to the late Alexander & Clara (Grainger) Gray. Beloved husband of Ruth (McConnell) Gray. Dear father of Rick Gray of Ridgetown and Tom & Linda Gray of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Amy Gray and Sarah Gray. Jim is survived by his sister Doris Butler and brother Leonard Gray. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Jim was a musician and an artist. He loved playing the piano, creating wood carvings, and painting, but his fist love was always his family. Jim also had a passion for wildlife, often carving bird sculptures and supporting the Canadian Wildlife Service. Jim was a world traveler and was so proud of all his ventures around the world. Cremation has taken place with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date. Donations made in memory of Jim to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
