Obituary of Lorne Mills

MILLS: Lorne James A resident of Dover Township, Lorne Mills passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2010 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance at the age of 64. Born in Chatham, son of the late Walter and Rita (nee Cooper) Mills. Loving father to Gayle & Jeff Chandler of Dresden, Tracey & Rick Gorton of Bridgen, Angie Mills & Mike of Dresden, Jodie & Jim Harris of Inwood, Lorie & Jeff Mills of Chatham, Shannon & Darrell Huff of Moraviantown. Beloved grandfather to Amber Solomon, Ricky Gorton, Chris Gorton, Trevor Mills, Guy Harris, Andrew Wygeria, Jeremy Chandler, Randi Chandler, Travis Osterhout, Brooke Gorton, and Taylor Osterhout. Cherished great grandfather of 2. Dear brother to Stuart & Susan Mills of Harrow and Roy & Roberta Mills of Chatham. Lorne will be sadly missed by Margie Mills. Family and friends will remember Lorne for his love of his family and his pride in his truck and boat. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Friday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Lorne’s life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 10a.m. Interment at Owen Cemetery will take place at a later date.
