PETERSON (Heath): Marilyn Joyce – In her 77th year, Marilyn Peterson died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2010. Born Septemer 30, 1933 in Chatham Township. Daughter of the late Stanley and Eva (Johnson) Heath. Beloved wife of the late Dan K. Peterson (2000). Loving mother of five children, Danny (Pat) Peterson of Ridgetown, Pamela (Eric) Leming of Ridgetown, Sandra (Robert) Haines of Petrolia, Richard (Julie) Peterson of Chatham and Penny (Blaine) Jones of Ridgetown. Proud grandmother of 13, Kathy, Charles and Kelly, Chris (Lorrie), Jeremy (Lisa), Ian (Dawn), Erin, Dustin, Wayne and Curtis, Ryan, Rene and Brittany. Great grandmother of 14. Great great grandmother of one. Predeceased by great grandson CJ Leming. Dear sister of Max (Agnes) Heath, Gary (Norma), Gordon (Dee), Doug (Connie), Allan (Sue) and sister-in-law Bonnie (Ken). Predeceased by brothers John and Donald, sister Pat Ward and brother-in-law Jake Ward and son-in-law Thomas Morley. Survived by many nieces and nephews, special friends Ethel Bedell, Doris West, Diane Mardling and Dan Paré, special nephews Geoff, Paul and David Peterson. Marilyn was a member of the Erie St United Church and a proud 32 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #243 Ladies Auxiliary in Ridgetown. Marilyn was also the proud owner of Ridgetown Centennial Lodge. No visitation will be held. All are welcome to gather at the Ridgetown Legion on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. to proceed for interment at Greenwood Cemetery for the Graveside Service at 3:00 p.m. Celebration of Marilyn’s life to follow at the Ridgetown Legion. Donations of sympathy may be made in her honour to the Kidney Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #243 or a charity of your choice.
