Obituary of F. Peter Woodliffe

WOODLIFFE: F. Peter. A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Guilds, Frank Peter Woodliffe passed away at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus on Tuesday June 29, 2010 in his 86th year. Born at Troy, Howard Twsp, son of the late Frank Sydney and Kathleen Grace (Allen) Woodliffe. Loving husband and best friend of Helen Fern (Turner) Woodliffe for almost 63 years. Loved father of Susan and her husband Carman Sparling of Troy, Allen and Marie Woodliffe of Chatham and Patricia and Greg Smith of Nelson B.C. Dear Grandfather of Gregory and his wife Sheri Sparling of Chatham, Tara Lyn and her husband John Corrente of Ottawa, Jonathan Sparling and his fiancee Stephanie deBoer of Waterloo, Timothy Woodliffe of Chatham and Kristin Woodliffe of Manitoulin Island.and 4 Great Granchildren. Peter was an active member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church in Ridgetown and was a former square dancer enjoying his memberships in both the Chatham and Charing Cross Square Dance Clubs. He was a lover of God’s Creation and had an appreciation for the land, and for birds and things of nature. The Woodliffe Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 3, 2010 at Emmanuel Congregational Church, 68 Erie Street North Ridgetown. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Lukings officiating. Interment of Cremated Remains Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations to the Emmanuel Congregational Church, Compassion of Canada or the Nature Conservatory of Canada appreciated.
