RICHARDSON: William James “Bill” – A resident of Chatham, Ontario, Bill Richardson died Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 95. Born in Harwich Twsp., son of the late Edward Albert “Bert” Richardson (1959) and Bessie Baird Snobelen (1983). Beloved husband of the late Laura Pettipiece (1995). Survived by his brothers Thomas Richardson and his wife Lyla of RR#3 Chatham and Donald Richardson of RR#2 Ridgetown. Dearly missed by his sisters-in-law Alison Richardson of Glanworth, Alice Pettipiece and Elsie Pettipiece. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Robert (2001) and Samuel (1994) and his sisters Margaret March (1923) and Dorothy March (1923). Predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law Olive Richardson (1995), Barbara Richardson (2002), Lulu and John Lovell, Lily and Sidney Freeman, Ernest and Bertha Pettipiece, Lettitia Pettipiece, Alfred Pettipiece, Mary and Harold Zimmer, Lorne and Myrtle Pettipiece, Lucy and George Spicer, Carl Pettipiece and Burton and Ruth Pettipiece. Bill was a retired farmer and sales representative of United Co-op. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with The Rev. James E. Brown officiating. Interment Botany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Bill to the Chatham Outreach for Hunger or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
