Obituary of Delores 'Del' Brown

BROWN: Delores, Julia A resident of Chatham, Delores passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2010, at her home, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Leonard James Brown since September 1946. Sharing all those years with devotion, happiness and love. Born in Detroit Michigan, daughter of the Late Otto Paul Zilz (Mar. 22, 1953) and Frances V. Zilz (Kevnick) (Nov. 22, 1988). Survived by sister Mrs. Maxcine (Mickey) Everson; sister-in-law Mrs. Bernice Hanemaayer; and many nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S.A. Predeceased by brothers Leroy F. (Dec. 13, 1984), Robert F. (Feb. 12, 1987), brother-in-law Axel Everson (June 27, 2001), sister-in-law Mrs. Lucia Prangley (Sept. 12, 2004), and brother-in-law Mr. Airie Hanemaayer (Oct. 12, 1999). For many years Delores was an avid 5 pin bowler, and golfer at many local courses and a long time member of Old Country View and Indian Creek. Delores was also an active member of the Chatham Curling Club. A private family funeral service will be held with Chaplain Larry Forsyth officiating. Interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
