McIsaac: June I. (Thompson) (McConnell) A resident of Chatham, Mrs. June McIsaac passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the chatham Retirement Resort, at the age of 86. Born in Fort William (Thunder Bay), on June 28, 1923, daughter of the late Ivan & Violet (Morgan) Thompson. Beloved wife of the late Jim McIsaac (1999). Left to mourn are her children Larry E. McConnell of Whitecourt Alberta, special son in-law Marvin & Lenore Merritt of Pain Court, Lorraine McConnell of Toronto, Lynne Hanemaayer of Chatham, Lowell McConnell of North Bay, and step daughter Heather Zak of Peterborough.. June leaves behind 4 grandchildren; Robert (Jody), Janine (Charles), Jeremy, and Amanda (Sean); 4 step grandchildren; Kelly, Robyn, Laura, and Sarah. She will be remembered by her 3 great grandchildren Kadin and Lauren Brydges and Brooke Chernipeski. She also leaves behind her brother Gerry Thompson (Cheryl) of Morrisburg, ON, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Predeceased by her brother Webb Thompson, sisters Hilda and her husband James Adams, Pearl and her husband Sandy Middleton, and great grandson Connor Alexander James Merritt. June was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church and a past member of the Purity Rebecca #160. She also enjoyed her time as a member of the former Maple City Centre for older Adults.Cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Maple Leaf Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Margaret Moriyama officiating.
