Obituary of Jean Droog

DROOG: Jean. A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of R.R.#2 Embro, Jean Droog passed away at the Village Long Term Care Residence on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the age of 81. Born in Woodstock, daughter of the late Wray and Harriet (Hulet) Taylor. Beloved wife of the late Cornelius (Neil) Droog (1963). Dear mother of Nancy Paling and her husband Bob of Ridgetown, Diana Low and her husband Don of Seattle, Washington, Bill Droog and his wife Deb of Sudbury, and the late Michelle Wein (1994). Grandmother of Jennifer Bossy and her husband Ian, Karen Paling, Sally Low, Alex Low, Katie Low, Spenser Droog, and Jaime Droog. Sister of the late James Taylor (2007) and his wife Hallie of Woodstock, Betty Prensler of Burlington and her late husband Doug, and Ruth Beane and her husband Lawrence of Goderich. Mrs. Droog had been an avid member of Knox United Church and U.C.W., Embro for many years as well as a member of the Trillium Button Club. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, 584872 Beachville Road, Woodstock on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Alan McIntyre officiating.
