DeBruyn: Johanna (nee Kelders). A resident of Ridgetown passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the age of 92. Born in The Netherlands, daughter of the late Martin and Petronella Kelders. Beloved wife of the late Gerrardus (Gerry) DeBruyn (1996). Dear mother of Nellie Trudell and her husband Frank of PainCourt, Rickie Higgins and her husband Bob of Chatham, Anthony DeBruyn and his wife Jeannette, Ridgetown, Martin DeBruyn and his wife Nancy of Ridgetown and Jerry DeBruyn and his wife Kathy also of Ridgetown. Dear sister of John Kelders of Grand Bend, Joseph Kelders of Luxembourg and sister-in-law of Mrs. Theo Kelders. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East. Ridgetown on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 26 George St., Ridgetown on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Tamil Govindaraju O.F.M. celebrant. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Howard Township. Johanna spent many devoted hours knitting clothing for the poor children in Chernobyl in Belarus.
