Obituary of Florence P. DeWachter

DeWACHTER: Florence P. (nee VanGheluwe)- A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Raleigh Township and of Blenheim passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family by her side on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of 61 years to the late Gustaaf M. DeWachter (2007). Dear sister to Loraine Lockey of London. Predeceased by her sisters Zelma DeClerk, Mary Pepper and Lena Galarneau. Deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Florence had been a member of the former St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Chatham, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chatham. Florence will be remembered as a very kind and generous woman of deep faith. The family would like to thank Diana and Mike Ytsma for all of their care and support over the years. Family to receive friends at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 95 Marborough St. N, Blenheim on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Tamil celebrant. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
