Obituary of Robert 'Bob' Maxwell Snobelen

SNOBELEN: Robert ‘Bob’ Maxwell - A lifelong resident of Harwich Township, Bob Snobelen passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family by his side on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the age of 83. Bob was the son of the late Robert and Edith (Jenner) Snobelen. Happily married for 58 years to his beloved wife Marie Alice (Fritz) Snobelen. Loving father of Linda Henderson and her husband Bill, Jane Lundy and her husband Jim and Dan Snobelen and his wife Nancy all of Chatham. Proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 4 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Murray Snobelen and his wife Norine of Howard Township. Predeceased by his brother Reginald Snobelen and his wife Madeline, and his in-laws Helen Coffell and her husband Garnet and Lloyd Fritz and his wife Alice. Bob had farmed for his entire life. He had a love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. James E. Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
