Smith: Doris May, a resident of Ridgetown. Doris M. Smith passed away on February 2, 2010 at the CKHA – Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg at the age of 92. Born in Northwood, Ontario, daughter of the late Joseph & Hattie (Watson) Burd. Beloved wife of the late H. Ross Smith (1986). Dear mother of Harry Smith, High River, Alberta; Myrtle & Charlie Humphrey, Bothwell; Barbara Brown, Stratford; Leta & Brian Fieldwick, Morpeth; Donna Hurst, Ridgetown and Gayle & Bill Carpenter, Chatham. Also survived by many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by son Bill Smith; brother Howard Burd; sons-in-law Morley Brown and Ron Hurst; daughter-in-law Fran Smith; grandchildren Larry Brooks, Melissa Brown and Michael Smith and great-granddaughter Kim Brooks. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St.,E., Ridgetown on Friday February 5, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Rebekah Lodge will conducted a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Demitroff officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown, Donations in memory of Doris to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Charity of Choice would be appreciated.
