Ytsma: Albert J. To be with the Lord, Albert passed away peacefully in Chatham on January 6, 2010 at the age of 92. Born in the Netherlands on April 17, 1917. Beloved husband of Jenny for 67 years. Dear father of Bonnie (Kees) of Abbotsford B.C., Jerry of Chatham, Albert (Sharon) of Vancouver B.C. and Andrew also of Vancouver. Predeceased by his daughter Nienke and granddaughter Amy. Proud Opa to Bryan, Jennifer, Matthew, Stephen, Jesse, Mark, David, and Maya. Great-grandfather to Jessica, Melissa, Bryanna, Lauren, Luke and Elise. Survived by his brother Jerry. Predeceased by brothers Jelle, Frans and Anne. Albert was a veteran of the Second World War. He was also an active and devoted member of the Canadian Reformed Church. Arriving in Canada in 1950, Albert worked for Union Gas for over 32 years before retiring. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home- 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday January 11, 2010 at the Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church, 483 McNaughton Ave. E., Chatham at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
