ENGLISH: Marian Jean. A resident of R.R.#5 Blenheim, Marian English passed away peacefully at the Blenheim Community Village on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the age of 83. Born in Harwich Township, daughter of the late George and Mary (Lane) Crackel. Beloved wife of Ivan English for 56 years. Dear mother of Kathryn Johnson and her husband Gerald of Chatham, and Mark English and his wife Trish of R.R.#5 Blenheim. Grandmother of Jenny English, Linda and Ryan Snobelen, Sandy and Denny Vervaet, Daniel English, and Amanda Johnson. Great-grandmother of Colton Snobelen. Sister of Arthur Crackel of Chatham, Kenneth and Jean Crackel of R.R.#5 Blenheim, and the late Evelyn Brooksbank, and Donald Crackel. Sister-in-law of Elizabeth Huff of Chatham, Bill and Ada English of R.R.#5 Chatham, and the late Viola Sparks, Florence Laurie, Mary Drewery, Jack English, Illa Sykes, and Harold English. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. English was a member of Charing Cross United Church and U.C.W. She worked for over 15 years at Young's Jewelers in Chatham. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with The Rev. Dr. Margaret Trapnell officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations to the Parkinson's Foundation, C.N.I.B., or Charing Cross United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
