Obituary of John Legue

LEGUE: John D. A resident of R.R.# 3 Blenheim, John David Legue passed away suddenly at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the age of 71. Born in Petrolia, son of the late Wilfrid and Flossie (Cox) Legue. Beloved husband of June (Stirling) Legue. Predeceased by his brother Jim Legue. Brother-in-law of Helga Legue of Forest, and Joy and Kevin Spence of R.R.#3 Kent Bridge. Uncle of James, Anna and Margaret Legue and Paul & Sara, Rebekah and Jenna Spence. John’s passion was antique automobiles, his knowledge and talent of the automobile was respected amongst his fellow enthusiasts. He served as president and director of the Antique & Classic Car Club of Canada and was the founder of the Kent Region A.C.C.C.C. He was past President and an active member of the Blenheim Rotary Club where he was recognized by being made a Paul Harris Fellow. John was a member and Chairman of the Board of the Fourth Line United Church. He retired in 1990 from a career as a secondary school teacher. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ed Nicol officiating.
