FELTIS: William Arthur. A resident of Chatham, William Feltis passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the age of 81. Born in Huntsville, son of the late William and Orma (Harper) Feltis. Beloved husband of Catharine (Goossen) Feltis and predeceased by his first wife Thelma (Crawford) Feltis (1999). Dear father of Timothy and Karen Feltis of Fenwick, and Carol and Harry Forsten of Chatham. Step-father of Carolyn and Jeff Nancekivell of Mississauga, Barbara Vandekemp of Edmonton, Kenneth Vandekemp of Windsor, and Sharon Vandekemp and her companion Terry Moore of Chatham. Grandfather of Johnathan Feltis, David Feltis, and Jason Forsten. Step-grandfather of Kyle Lang, Jesse Lang, Zachary Moore, and Tara Moore. Great-grandfather of Dylan, Ethan, and Brayden Forsten. Brother of Robert Feltis and his companion Wendy of St. Albert, Alberta, and the late Shirley Hardwick. Brother-in-law of Gary Hardwick of Niagara Falls, June Hutton of Niagara Falls, Barbara and Herman Vanderveen of Thamesville, Casey and Bunny Goossen of St. Catharines, and Adrian and Ineke Goossen of Chatham. Mr. Feltis worked as a customer equipment service representative for American Can Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church and the Board of Management. He was also a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, and Past-President of the Kent Cloverleaf Conservation Club having held most Executive positions throughout the years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from St. James Presbyterian Church, 310 McNaughton Ave. W., Chatham on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 1:30 p.m with Rev. John Giurin officiating. Cremation with interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters or St. James Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
