BURK: Edward Merton. A resident of R.R.#7 Blenheim, Edward Burk passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the age of 90. Born in Blenheim, son of the late Merton and Ellen (Walker) Burk. Beloved husband of Patricia (Mahdal) Burk for 61 years. Dear father of Edward and Suzanne Burk of Harwich, Thomas Burk (Jean) of Timmins, Jack and Lorie Burk of Blenheim, Donald and Linda Burk of Dealtown, Betty Ann Voros (Wayne) of West Lorne, and Mary Ann and Dennis Houle of Chatham. Grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of 11. Brother of the late Mary Caughy and Velma Faubert. Brother-in-law of Annie Myslik of Blenheim, Frances and Jerry Zoula of Palmyra, and the late Joe Mahdal, Thomas Bednarik, Mary Vanek, and Betty Ricica. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Burk was a Veteran of WWII and served overseas with the R.C.A.F. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Greg Mulligan and Rev. Bill Terris officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
