Obituary of Mary Jane Day
Day: Mary Jane (née-Day) -
We would like to announce the sudden passing of Mary Jane Day. Mary Jane Day went home to be with her Saviour on February 24, 2024 at the age of 69. Mary was born to the late Mabel (Day) and George Day on September 28, 1954 in Chatham Ontario. Born and raised with her siblings Phyllis and Alf Stallard, John and Jill Day, Rowena and Keith Anderson and Ross Day in Cedar Springs, Ontario.
Mary was a kind, thoughtful and caring friend to many growing up, through all her school and work years as well as beyond.
Mary had worked at the Southwest Regional Centre as a young mother who ended up dedicating herself to raising her children. Eventually Mary joined the team at Christian Horizons and making many friends over her twenty years there.
Mary was a selfless, kind and loving mother who was always there for her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her children, daughter Jenny Balazsity, son Sandor Balazsity and pre-deceased by her son Adam Balazsity(2000).
Also surviving Mary are her much beloved grandsons that she was so proud of, Cody, Adam, and Brayden Lloyd. Mary cherished and loved spending time with all of them. Whether it was just watching a show or playing dice or crokinole she loved spending time with her boys, making memories and bringing a smile to her face. Also surviving Mary are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends especially Murray and Chris Balazsity.
Mary was also a Christian. She was a dedicated Sunday School Nursery teacher at the Cedar Springs United Church. She loved caring for the infants. She also was a leader at the Explorer Church Group in Cedar Springs for six years. Mary was a good and faithful servant. Finally being reunited with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, her parents and son, she is now at peace.
Family will receive friends at Blenheim Baptist Church, 24 Talbot Street East, Blenheim on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 12:00pm until the Memorial Service at 1:00pm.
