Whittington, Thomas "Tom"

A resident of Chatham, Tom Whittington peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice surrounded by his loving family. 

Loving husband of Lynn (nee Teeter) for 45 beautiful years. Tom was the son of John & Marie Whittington of Chatham. Devoted father of Terri & Mo and Lisa & Rod. Grandpa of Ailish, Sara, Adam, Quinn & Rory. Brother of Debbie & Carl, Pat, Fay & Ron, Diane & Adam, and Robert. Predeceased by his brother John. Son-in-law of Dorothy Teeter & the late Hawley Teeter. Brother-in-law of Terry Teeter & Dixie O'Rourke and Terry Whittington.Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family. 

Tom retired from Siemans after 32 years of service and was an active member of Chatham Ringette for many years. He was a member of Countryview Golf Course, spending many hours on the green. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Family to receive friends on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Friends are welcome to join the procession at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 4, 2017. The Procession to the Graveside Service will follow at 10:30 am. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. 

Those wishing to make a memorial donation may make one to the Chatham-Kent Salvation Army or to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
