DeWISPELAERE: Yvonne Mary (Wona) (nee Roose) - A resident of the Blenheim Community Village, and formerly of Cedar Springs, Yvonne DeWispelaere passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the age of 91. Born in Chatham in 1922, Yvonne was the daughter of the late Edmond and Maria (Slosse) Roose. Predeceased by her husband Lorne DeWispelaere (2003). Loving mother of Jerry DeWispelaere of Blenheim, Jackie Caron (Ken Gardiner) of Blenheim, Barb Bowden (Bill) of Blenheim and Mark DeWispelaere of Cedar Springs. Proud grandma of Bill Bowden of Lethbridge, Alberta, Michael Misner of Hamilton, Denise McKay (Matt) of Chatham, Kathy Caron (Derek Vouk) of Chatham, Jennifer Hill (Sean) of Chatham and Jodi Bowden of Blenheim. Great-grandma of Jacklyn Misner, Devin Bowden, Ryen Hill, Colin McKay and Raegan McKay. Dear sister to Simone Claeys (Maurice) of Blenheim. Predeceased by her brother Maurice Roose (1986), sister-in-law Vera Roose (2007) and her nephew Edmond “Spike” Roose (1963). Sister-in-law to Dorothy DeWispelaere and Irene Rakus both of Blenheim. Also missed by several nieces and nephews friends and extended family. Yvonne worked at the Southwest Regional Centre for over 25 years. She worked in the dietary department, where she met many friends throughout the years. In keeping with Yvonne’s wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Cremation will take place. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations made in memory of Yvonne to the O.S.P.C.A. – Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
