WOOD: Ruth E. A resident of R.R.#1 Blenheim, Ruth Wood passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the age of 88. Born in Dover Township, daughter of the late William and Jean (Forsyth) Stokes. Beloved wife of the late James A. (Jim) Wood (1994). Dear mother of Lynn Wood of R.R.#1 Blenheim, Barbara Burgess and her husband Gene of R.R.#4 Chatham, Bonnie (Jeannie) Drewery and her husband Ivan of R.R.#1 Blenheim, and Kenneth Wood and his wife Ann of R.R.#2 Merlin. Grandmother of Diane Butler (Rod) of R.R.#1 Blenheim, Christine Van Gassen (Jason) of Plattsville, Neil Drewery (Christina) of R.R.#2 Ridgetown, Jamie Wood of Delaware, and Danielle Wood of R.R.#2 Merlin. Great-grandmother of Deidra, Danica, Gage, Dean, Avery, Braden, Griffin, Erin, Arianna, and Olivia. Sister of Grace Lundy of R.R.#6 Dresden (late husband Bob), Lyla Richardson (Tom) of Chatham, and the late June and Clifford Civalier, the late Irene Vannieuwenhuyze (husband Valere of Chatham), the late Ross Stokes (wife Fay of Chatham), and the late Grant Stokes (wife Joan of Chatham). Sister-in-law of Anne McBride of Vineland (late husband Myron), William and Jenny Wood of Chatham, George and Darlene Wood of St. Marys, Hank and Wilma Wood of Sarnia, the late Julie and Allan Jones, the late Jack Wood (wife Donna of London), and the late Bob and Sheila Wood. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Private Family Interment Service was held at Pardoville-Union Cemetery on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 with Pastor Eric Skillings officiating.
