Obituary of Jim Cons

CONS: Jamie “Jim”. A resident of Chatham, Jamie Cons died at his residence on Friday, November 15, 2013. He was born in London, England, 80 years ago on July 2, 1933, and came to Canada in 1957. Beloved husband of the late Nina Cons. (2003) Loving father of David & Katherine Cons of Chatham, and Peter Cons of Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of Kiara, Colton, Kristy, Holly, Melanie, and Stephanie. Brother of the late Godfrey Cons, England. Jim was a member of the British Colour Guard during the reign of King George, and then Queen Elizabeth II. He was retired from Navistar, and was a past member of Wellington Lodge No. 46, Chatham. Over the years, he spent many hours volunteering for Chatham Minor Hockey, Operation Red Nose, Drug Awareness Alliance, Branch 28 Legion, and the Kinsmen Club. Cremation has taken place. Family invite friends to a time of gathering at Gregory Drive Alliance Church, 255 Gregory Dr. W., Chatham on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Gregory Drive Alliance Church are welcomed.
