Obituary of Nancy Haddock

HADDOCK: Nancy. A resident of Chatham, Nancy Jacqueline Haddock died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday November 14, 2013 after a brave battle with ALS. She was born 72 years ago on January 3, 1941, daughter of the late Gilbert & Leah (Cleland) McKay. Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Haddock for 51 years. Loving mother of Brian Haddock of Goderich, Diane Lisabeth & Pat Charette of Sarnia, and Vicki & Keith Vanderiviere, of Chatham. Predeceased by her son-in-law Dave Lisabeth in 2006. Cherished grandmother of Eric (Tara), Brianne, and Spencer Lisabeth, Kirk and Owen Vanderiviere. Dear sister of Shirley Pepper and Margery McLeod, both of Chatham. Nancy will be dearly missed by her faithful canine friend “Princess.” Family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Sharon Colman of Windsor ALS, CCAC, VON, and the staff & management of Smitty’s Restaurant. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday November 18, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Ven. Paul Millward of Christ Church officiating. Cremation with interment in Merlin Cemetery at a later date. It was Nancy’s wish that all who attend her Funeral Service could do so comfortably in casual dress.
