GOTELAER: Gordon Alfred. A resident of Ridgetown, Gordon Gotelaer passed away at the Village-on-the-Ridge, Ridgetown on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the age of 76. Born in Mull, son of the late Gordon and Eva (Verkest) Gotelaer. Beloved husband of Shirley (Prance) Gotelaer since 1961. Dear father of Scott and Cathy Wiebenga of Chatham, Steve and Sue Wiebenga of Chatham, Pete and Bonnie of Ridgetown, Jeff and Mandy of Chatham, and the late Dave (2011) and his wife Corey of Sudbury. Grandfather of Shawn, Victoria, Tom, Dan, Michael, Paul, David Jr., Rochelle, Rebecca, Valerie, Alyson, and Mackenzie. Great-grandfather of Nancy, Hailey, Layla, Kimberly, and Tynasjia. Brother of Betty and Ken Osborne of Ridgetown, the late Margaret Graves and the late Bob and Jean Mervin. Brother-in-law of Betty Gill (late husband William) of Sarnia and Ken Graves (Nora) of Ridgetown. Also remembered by Dana. Gordon retired from Navistar following over 30 years of service. He also owned and operated his own trucking company for 20 years. He raced stock cars for many years in Canada and the U.S. and was a multi-track champion. He remained active with the sport for many years after he stopped racing. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
