Obituary of Marlyn Patricia Flemington

FLEMINGTON: Marlyn Patricia (nee Martin) – A resident of R.R. # 2 Blenheim, and formerly of Milton, Marlyn Flemington passed away with her family at her side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the age of 73. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Marlyn was the daughter of the late Francis and Phyllis (Hobson) Martin. Beloved wife of 54 years to Edwin Flemington. Loving mother of Patricia Hiscock (Joel) of Gravenhurst, Edwin Flemington, Jr. (Glenda) of Ridgetown, Martin Flemington (Heather) of Burlington and Dianne Flemington of Burlington. Proud grandmother of six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dear sister to James Martin (Muriel) of Cleveland, Tom Martin (Pat) of Hamilton, John Martin (Sue) of Burlington, Arlene Johnston (Blair) of Grafton and Ann Christie of Guelph and the late Barbara Normandin (1984), Paul Martin (2004) and Phyllis Maduro (2011). Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Marlyn actively volunteered at the V.O.N, and the Federated Women’s Institute of Ontario. She was an active member with the St. Michael’s C.W.L. right up until the time of her death. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St E., Ridgetown on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. with C.W.L prayers to follow. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 26 George St., Ridgetown at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 with Fr. Martin Johnston celebrant. Cremation to follow.
