Obituary of Vito Craievich

CRAIEVICH, Vito Giovanni –A resident of Sarnia, and formerly of Chatham, Vito Craievich passed peacefully with his family at his side at Bluewater Health on May 2, 2013. Born of Pietro and Teresa Craievich on June 14, 1936 in Martincicc, Italy. Loved by Mary Ann and his children Paul (Cherie) Craievich, Anne Marie (Chris) Carlisle, David (Mary Grace) Craievich and Angela (Darren) Galbraith. Nonno was adored by his grandchildren Adam, Gabriella, Emily, Mateo, Declan, Lachlan, and Grazia. Survived by his brother Jake Craievich and his sister Rosa Lozer Bacci. Thank you to the compassionate team in the ICU and Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health. Also, we are grateful to the supportive family, friends, and neighbours who enriched Vito’s life. He loved life and cherished every moment. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be offered on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chatham, with Fr. Matthew Kucharski celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham. In Vito’s memory, please consider a donation to the Lung Association.
