Dodok, Gregory: A resident of R.R. #2, Kent Bridge, Gregory Dodok passed away peacefully at Eden Villa, Chatham on Friday February 22, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Hostie, Slovakia, son of the late Karol & Julia (Magusin) Dodok. Beloved husband since 1950 of Anne (Kormendy) Dodok. Dear father of Gregory R. Dodok (Jr.), Chatham; Julie & Don Daniels, Ridgetown; Michael & Licia Dodok, Chatham; Janet & Dennis Knowler, Chatham; and Elizabeth & Christopher Brewster, Mississauga. Grandfather of 11 grandchildren and one great grandson. Brother of Josephine Kerulcin (late Andrew); and Carl & Agnes Dodok, Chatham. Gregory immigrated to Canada with his mother in 1936, and was then reunited with his father. He began farming as a teenager, and continued to do so into his eighties. He and Anne loved to travel, and enjoyed many trips over the years. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Sunday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Monday February 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham.
