Obituary of Jeannie Copeland

Copeland: Jeannie Munro (née Telford) -

A resident of Wallaceburg, Jeannie Copeland died at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on Wednesday, 15th of March, 2023, shortly after 10 pm in the ICU due to complications from Breast Cancer at the age of 68.

Jeannie was born to James and Violet Copeland on 2nd of March, 1955. She spent most of her early life growing up in Toronto, and the Greater Toronto Area with her family. After her marriage to Bryan Telford they resettled in the Quinte West Region, residing in Frankford during the early 1990s until her divorce from her husband, Bryan of 27 years. There she moved to reside in the Chatham-Kent Municipality. Jeannie loved being a mother to her three children, traveling the world, and was a talented artist as a painter. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Anthropology, Film and Television from York University in the 1980s. She then returned to school at Loyalist College in the late 1990s. She graduated as an LPN and began work in an old age care home. Prior to that, she worked for Canada Post as a Letter Carrier.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Jacob Copeland (2010), her mother, Violet Munro (née Manson) Copeland (2005). She is survived by her divorced husband, Bryan Telford, their three children, Elliott Telford, Courtenay Telford, and Tiffany (née Telford) Kohinski, her son-in-law, Nathanial Kohinski, her granddaughter, Isla Kohinski, and her brother James David Copeland, his wife Laura, her niece Michelle, and nephew Kyle and their families.

In keeping with Jeannie's wishes, cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in memory of Jeannie to Breast Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family.
