Obituary of Marlene Massender

MASSENDER: Marlene Ann (Crow) -

A resident of Raleigh Township, Marlene Massender passed away at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with her family at her side on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the age of 87.

Born in Dover Township, Marlene was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Johnston) Crow.

Beloved wife of 40 years to the late Larry Massender (2005).

Cherished mother of Brian Crow (Jackie).

Loving grandmother to Jeff Crow (Lyne Bechard) and Jason Crow (Anna).

Great-grandmother to Jules, Charlie; and Gabriella.

Sister to Clayton Crow (Mary Ellen) and her late infant brother Wayne.

Survived by her in-laws Cecil Massender (Mary).

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Marlene retired from Chrysler after over 30 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Immaculee Conception Church and a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and the Active Lifestyle Centre.

Marlene loved to knit, read, work on puzzles and play cribbage, euchre and Bingo.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Vigil Prayers will be held at 4:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculee Conception Church, 24152 Winterline Road, Pain Court at 11:00 am on Monday, July 18, 2022. Interment to follow at Immaculee Conception Cemetery.
