Hind, Louise

On Sunday, July 3, 2022, our mom, Louise Hind passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

She was the daughter of the late Roy and Gertrude Strain of Chatham Township, and the wife of the late Herb Hind (1985).

Mom raised 4 children; Caroline Hunter (Paul), Rose Scott (Terry), Ann Jackson (Kevin) and Gary Hind (Kerrie). We were all able to spend these last 2 weeks at mom's side, caring for and loving her.

She has 6 wonderful grandchildren, Taylor Armstrong-Hind, Jonathan Scott, Sarah Jackson, Emma Jackson, Mac Hind, and Mollie Hind

, and has a beautiful relationship with each of them. She enjoyed every minute she spent with them.

Mom is survived by all 5 of her siblings; Fred Strain (Elsie), Florence Jeffrey (Rocky), Audrey Shepley (late Ron), Don Strain (Joyce), and Stuart Strain (Marion).

Mom will also be missed by some very special nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.

We welcome you to join us at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. for visitation until the beginning of the funeral service at noon. A private interment will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Donations can be made in memory of mom to the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
