Mike and Donna: Sherry and I would like to tell you we are sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was a lovely lady and always looked so nice. We have such good memories of Mac and Jean. They got together Saturday nights to play cards with the Pickering, dad’s brothers and wives and always had fun. Mac always had a story or two to tell. Sometimes Jean laughed and sometimes she didn’t which was always funny too. We used to laugh because mom and dad’s resting place (Howard and Arnie Holland) and Mac and Jean’s are in the same area only two rows apart that they could continue playing cards. You have lots of memories to hold on to. I am sorry Sherry and I could not attend the visitation and funeral. We have health issues that are keeping us away but our thoughts and prayers go with you. To all of our extended family. We will miss Aunt Jean very much. She was and still is a bright spot in my heart. I haven't seen her in a couple of years and was going to have lunch with her in 2 weeks. She was always so happy to see family, a great lady. Good bye sweet heart. We will miss you always. We were very saddened to hear of Jean's passing. She was a very elegant lady. I will never forget her and Mac and their involvement with the Chatham Jr. Maroons. As a child Imspent lots of time with them, along with my parents, Bob and Lila Pickering. Hanging out with Donna was always a highlight. An era now gone, but not forgotten. Mike, Donna and families, Norine in Winnipeg, my prayers are with you as you entrust your mother and sister to her loving God and Father. Jean was an organizer and through her, my late friend, Julia, and I were able to worship with her at Village on the Thames.
