Obituary of Nancy Wright

WRIGHT: Nancy Ellen (nee Decoteau) -

A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Brantford, Nancy Wright passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with her family at her side on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the age of 66.

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Nancy Wright was the daughter of Theodore "Ted" and the late Winnifred "Win" (Maher) Decoteau.

Beloved wife of 45 years to Stephen Wright.

Loving mother of Pamela Armour (Rickie) of Suffern, NY and Colleen Wright of Brantford.

Very proud Gramma of Rickie J.

Dear sister to Marylou Boudreau (Bob) of Kingston, Patricia "Patty" Decoteau of Brantford, Donna Mombourquette (Paul) of Brantford, and Jeanne Decoteau of Toronto.

Sister-in-law to Raymond Wright, Bruce Wright (Dar), Linda Fett (Andy), the late Nancy Summers (Richard) and Carolyn Thom (late Doug).

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends extended family.

Nancy was a faithful member of the Salvation Army. She was a talented flutist, having played with the church worship team and the Chatham Concert Band, inspiring her family to follow their passion for music. She enjoyed playing in many concerts, with her husband Stephen who played the tuba.

Family will receive friends at the Salvation Army Chatham Citadel, 46 Orangewood Blvd, Chatham on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Nancy's Life at 11:00am. Those planning to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/qmTiWPe) or by phoning the Funeral Home. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that all attendees wear a mask. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family interment will follow the service at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Nancy to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or The Salvation Army Chatham Citadel would be appreciated.
