Obituary of Wilda Renwick

RENWICK, WILDA: 1925 - 2021. Wilda Maxine Renwick of Chatham peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 after celebrating her 96th birthday on November 9th. Loving wife of Harold (2015) and Mother to daughter and son-in-law Carol and Frank Hartford. Predeceased by her son Dennis (1976). Always a very loving and caring Grandmother to Coleen Tulen (Sarnia), Tawnya Hartford (Chris Camirand) (Niagara Falls), and Randy and wife Leanne Hartford (Niagara Falls). Predeceased by her parents Harvey and Pearl Hillman. Survived by her sister Dona (late Ralph) Mahony of Toronto. She will be sadly missed by "The Tulens" as well as in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Wilda grew up in Comber until 1947 when her marriage to Harold led them to settle down in Tilbury East (Quinn). Wilda and Harold enjoyed participating in all the community events - especially square dancing or euchre parties at Quinn Hall. Much laughter and good times was always shared with their many friends. In1979 they packed up ALL of their belongings, so it seemed, and moved to Chatham. When they were not travelling, Wilda always loved having company so she could serve hot tea and at least two different desserts. The many phone calls to and from her friends and relatives brightened up her days. She will be missed thoroughly by her family and by so many people whose lives she touched.

Wilda’s family would like to especially thank Dr. Wolting and her team, LHIN, the VON service providers, as well as the Bayshore staff members who gave her special care, medical support and needed compassion along her journey with Parkinsons Disease. Even though her stay at Copper Terrace Facility was very short, her caregivers ensured that her final days were comfortable and pain free. To Wilda’s amazing neighbours on Pamela Crescent, thank you for watching over her every day.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no service at this time. In lieu of floral arrangements, donations to the Rotary Club of Chatham or the Parkinson’s Society is appreciated.
