The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses and other staff on the Med floor at CKHA - Chatham and the VON nurses for the care and compassion they showed to Elsie during her illness.

Elsie started at Wheels doing housekeeping, before moving up to working maintenance. She continued on in her career by doing housekeeping at the hospital, as well as at home for her children. Later in life, Elsie really enjoyed camping with Richard and their family. Sunday nights were weekly sister get togethers, where her and her sisters played card and dice games for hours. She had a smile that could light up a room and loved spending every moment she could with her grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the family and her presence will be sorely missed.

Due to COVID-19, a private family visiting will take place at McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

Donations in memory of Elsie to The W.I.S.H. Centre, 177 King Street East, Chatham, ON N7M 3N1 or Canadian Mental Health Association, 240 Grand Avenue West, Suite 100 Chatham, ON, N7L 1C1 are greatly appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, 519-351-2040.
