Joanne, Matt and Tara.
So very saddened to learn of John’s passing. He was such a great person, proud father and husband. As a lawyer, he was the consummate professional, caring for his clients. This I say despite the fact that we typically were on the opposite sides of any case.
I will miss most his wonderful smile and deep laugh, which always brought a smile to my face.

Dear Matt and Tara, I was so very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. I always got a kick out of John from his Honey Bee ham to ordering Pizza delivered from Blenheim to Chatham; from his travel stories to his 'premature' white hair to gathering at his favourite 'watering hole' and never failing to remind me that he was 8 months younger than me! Very sad news.
John was a great guy and always fun to be with. Anytime I had a case with John it was memorable. He achieved outstanding results for his clients. He was well liked and well regarded by all of the lawyers he practiced with.
The lawyers in Chatham-Kent have a tradition of having an honour guard at the funeral of a colleague. It is unfortunate in that the pandemic does not allow us to extend that tradition to John's passing. He certainly deserves it.
He will be honoured in our thoughts and we will miss him.
